Summer 2016

Been meaning to get this post on the website for sometime. Fixing the house has taken over our lives. Anyway, here's some of the work undertaken over last summer (article).

Sunny Sunday

Been a little while since Sluggie's blog has been updated. Work and house have been getting in the way. However, with better weather over the weekend, managed to sneak a few hours of play time.

A new radio/CD player has been fitted (article), battery box cleaned up (article), further water leaks on roof identified (article) and the intermittent screen wiper issue resolved (article).

End of Year Bits 'n' Bobs

Have not updated this blog for a little while since not really had much time recently. Katie has been away for a few weeks on a family holiday, some urgent issues crept up on the house that needed sorting and then Christmas arrived.

Anyway, managed to get a few bits and bobs under way - see the article.

Rear Door Lock and Roof

Started worked on changing the barrel lock and rejuvenating the rear door lock - see article.

Christopher help me remove all the roof aerials, interior roof lining and all the internal radio cabling - see article. Even let him drive the Land Rover back into the garage - huge smiles.

Created a list of all the parts which have been changed/modified/added to the Land Rover - see the list here.

Found another website that has exploded views of the entire Land Rover with links to all part numbers. It features an in built search facility to order them online at various well known genuine Land Rover part distributors. Hold on to that credit card!

Given that it is now getting colder and damp this time of year, have placed inside the Land Rover a couple of dehumidifiers. Also going to delay the Waxoyl treatment until next year until it is warmer and allowing me time to ensure that all work underneath the Land Rover is complete first.
